Invoice Genie Privacy Policy
This policy covers the Invoice Genie mobile apps and supporting service. Invoice content is used to create, store, manage, and export the invoices you request.
Last updated 27 July 2026What this policy covers
Invoice Genie helps solo contractors create and manage invoices. This policy explains the information processed by the app and API, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
- Account details and authentication records required to create and protect an account.
- Business profile details such as business name, logo, address, invoice prefix, tax defaults, and optional payment instructions.
- Client records, invoice line items, dates, rates, quantities, taxes, statuses, notes, and generated document information.
- Subscription entitlement and store transaction identifiers used to verify Free or Pro access; card details are not received.
- Device/app version and sanitised operational logs used for reliability, security, and support.
Payment information not collected in this version
Invoice Genie does not process payments from your clients, connect to bank accounts, or track card transactions. Any payment instructions printed on an invoice are entered by you and shared with the invoice recipient at your direction.
How we use information
Information is used to authenticate users, store reusable business/client details, issue sequential invoice numbers, create PDFs, track invoice status, provide subscription features, restore drafts, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.
Retention and deletion
Account and invoice data is retained while the account is active. You can delete the account from Profile using typed confirmation. Limited transaction, security, or accounting records may be retained when legally or operationally required.
Your choices and rights
You may edit business and client information, update invoices, control notifications, export records where available, and request access, correction, or deletion.
Security and international processing
Reasonable technical and organisational measures protect the service. Providers may process information in other countries under their applicable safeguards. No internet service can promise absolute security.
