Mixmatics Privacy Policy
Mixmatics is built to work offline and to start private. The campaign, Endless Factory, Efficiency Challenge, and Factory Creator run on your device; the server is only involved for the features that need one.
Last updated 30 October 2026Play stays on your device
Your campaign progress, stars, credits, achievements, unlocked cosmetics, settings, and Factory Creator drafts are stored on your device. They are not sent to us unless you use an online feature described below.
Guest sessions
To use online features the app creates a guest session with a random installation identifier, your platform, app version, and timezone. Session credentials are kept in secure device storage. No name, email address, or contact detail is needed.
Signed-in accounts
Signing in with Apple or Google is optional. The provider gives us a stable account identifier, which we link to your player so your rankings and published puzzles follow you to other devices. Mixmatics does not use your email address as the account key, and provider identity tokens are verified and not stored. If you sign in after playing as a guest, the guest's rankings, puzzles, ratings, reports, and blocks move to the account.
Ranked results
When you finish a Daily Challenge or Weekly Tournament puzzle, the app sends the moves you made, with their timing, and the puzzle revision you played. The server replays them through the same rules as the game to work out your result, so a score cannot be invented on the device. We store the result and its replay to rank it and to keep leaderboards fair.
Usernames
A public username is optional and is only needed to appear by name on leaderboards and as the author of community puzzles. It is checked against a word filter when you choose it. Names that other players report are reviewed by a person, who may remove them.
Community puzzles
If you publish a puzzle from the Factory Creator, we store the puzzle, the solution you demonstrated (so the server can prove it is solvable), its share code, and your player as its author. Other players can play, rate, and report it. Ratings are stored against the rating player so each player rates a puzzle once.
Reporting and blocking
If you report a puzzle or a player, we store what you reported, the reason you chose, when you reported it, and your player identifier, so the same report cannot be filed twice. The reported player is never told who reported them. A puzzle reported by several different players is hidden until a person reviews it.
If you block a player, we store that your player has blocked theirs. It is used only to hide their puzzles and names from you, and they are not told.
Daily reminders
The daily reminder is off until you turn it on. When it is on, we store an Expo push token for your device, your platform, IANA timezone, whether reminders are enabled, and a record of each delivery so a reminder is never sent twice in one day. Turning reminders off stops them; deleting your online account removes the destination.
Advertising
Mixmatics is supported by Google AdMob. Banners can appear on the home screen, during play, and on the result screen; an interstitial may appear after some completed puzzles, with a minimum gap between them and a daily limit. Rewarded videos are optional and only start when you choose one.
Google's User Messaging Platform resolves consent before an ad is requested. On iPhone and iPad the app also asks for Apple's permission to track (App Tracking Transparency). If you do not allow tracking, or do not agree to personalised advertising in the consent form, ads are non-personalised. You can reopen your choices from Settings → Privacy choices, and change tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Google may process IP-derived coarse location, device type, operating system, advertising identifier, and ad interactions for delivery, frequency capping, fraud detection, and, where you allow it, ad personalisation. We do not send your username, player identifier, results, or puzzles to advertising partners.
Rewarded verification
When you choose a rewarded video, the app asks our server for a single-use random identifier and passes it to Google. Google's signed confirmation tells our server the video finished, and only then are credits or a streak repair granted. The identifier contains no username or contact information. Unused identifiers expire and are deleted.
Remove Ads subscription
If you subscribe to Remove Ads, the App Store or Google Play processes the payment; we never receive card details. We store the store's transaction identifier, the plan, when it was bought and when it expires, and link it to your player so the server can tell the app whether to show ads. Apple and Google tell us about renewals, cancellations, and refunds. After account deletion the record is kept without your player identifier, for refunds, fraud prevention, and accounting.
Server logs
Our servers keep operational logs to diagnose failures. Tokens, receipts, puzzle solutions, and personal text are never written to them. Logs are access-controlled and rotated.
Retention and deletion
Profile → Delete online account removes your player from our servers: your rankings, published puzzles, ratings, reports, blocks, sign-in links, sessions, and reminder destinations. Settings → Delete all data erases everything stored on this device. Deleting your account does not cancel a Remove Ads subscription; cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account first.
Children
Mixmatics is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
