ScanGenAI Terms of Use

Your account

You are responsible for access to your device and your sign-in details. Keep your email address accurate so verification and account emails reach you.

Your content

You keep all rights to the files and questions you submit. You confirm you have the right to upload them and to have them processed, including by the third-party AI providers named in the privacy policy. Do not upload content that is unlawful or that you are not permitted to share.

AI-generated results

Extracted text, transcripts, and answers are generated automatically and may be incomplete or wrong. They are not professional, legal, medical, or financial advice. Check important results against the original before relying on them.

ScanGenAI Pro subscriptions

ScanGenAI Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly (US$4.99) or yearly (US$39.99), or the local equivalent the store shows, to your Apple ID or Google Play account. Payment is charged to that account when you confirm the purchase, or at the end of the free trial if one applies.

The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings; cancelling stops future renewals, and Pro stays active until the end of the period already paid for.

The yearly plan may include a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the yearly subscription begins and is charged. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you subscribe.

Purchases are processed by Apple or Google under their terms, and refunds are handled through the store. Deleting your ScanGenAI account does not cancel a subscription.

Free features and limits

The free plan includes image text extraction, audio transcription, and PDF questions, each within a monthly allowance. Pro has higher allowances. They are fair-use limits that protect the service, are shown in the app, and may change.

Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to access another user's data or bypass security or limits.
• Do not tamper with the app, purchase verification, or the service, or use automated means to exhaust it.
• Do not use ScanGenAI to process unlawful content or for any unlawful purpose.

Availability and changes

We work to keep ScanGenAI available but cannot promise uninterrupted access. Results depend on your device, network, and third-party AI providers and may occasionally be delayed or unavailable. We may change these terms; material changes update this page and its date.

Termination and liability

Access may be restricted for abuse, fraud, security threats, or material breach. The service is provided on an as-available basis to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
