What is Lost Vowels?+
Lost Vowels is a daily word game where each answer is shown without A, E, I, O or U. You rebuild the answer from its consonant skeleton, with optional clues when you need them.
How is it different from other daily word games?+
Instead of one fixed puzzle, Lost Vowels gives you ten puzzles in each of six categories. You choose what interests you, and every clue has a clear point cost so the score reflects how independently you solved it.
Is Y removed?+
No. Y remains visible, while A, E, I, O, and U are removed from the answer.
How does scoring work?+
Each puzzle is worth up to three points. Solving without help earns all three; revealing the clue or the first contextual hint costs one point each. A perfect ten-puzzle game scores 30.
Can I play without signing in?+
Yes. Guest play works immediately. Signing in adds cross-device progress, daily leaderboards, and reminder notifications.
Which categories are available?+
The six categories are English Words, Cities & Towns, Animals, Food & Drink, Football, and Science & Nature. Each has its own fresh daily set, balanced across easy, medium, and hard puzzles.
